
Rebecca Kruse-Jarres, MD, MPH

Dr. Kruse-Jarres is the Executive and Medical Director at WACBD and Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Washington. She completed a nursing degree in California and proceeded to attend medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she also completed residency and fellowship training in hematology/oncology. She was faculty at Tulane from 2005 until 2014 and was the Associate Director of the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders. In 2014, she moved to Seattle to become the Medical Director at the Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders. Dr. Kruse-Jarres has a long-standing interest in the detection, prevention and treatment of antibodies (inhibitors) against clotting factor, both in inherited hemophilia and as an acquired disorder (acquired hemophilia). She also actively supports and researches the role of ultrasound in assessing joints health in bleeding disorders.
