Mary Spisak

Contracting and Program Development Manager

Mary earned her degree in healthcare management from Victor Valley College in Victorville, California. She has been a valued member of the WACBD team since 2012. Mary's focus has always been to provide patients with the tools and support they need to remain independent in their homes for as long as possible. During her time in home health, Mary successfully raised awareness about various niche programs and secured financial reimbursement for new initiatives, such as hospice care, by lobbying Congress on Capitol Hill in the 1980s. In the late 90's she collaborated with clinical teams to develop home telemonitoring care for chronic conditions, and in the early 2000's advocated for financial coverage from the state of WA for in-home equipment including automated medication dispensing machines. Currently, Mary works tirelessly for WACBD patients to secure contracts that cover their medications. She provides education and awareness to payers about WACBD's hemophilia treatment center and 340b pharmacy, new-to-market medications, gene therapy, and supports WACBD's billing team in obtaining reimbursement for those medications.
