Lori Jacobsen-Tews
Member, Board of Directors
Lorilyn (Lori) Jacobsen-Tews is Executive Director of the Hemostasis & Thrombosis Research Society (HTRS), celebrating 20 years with the organization in 2025. Lori was a Layton Art Scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she earned degrees in both Fine Art and English Literature. Her 30+ years in nonprofit administration include over a decade at the Milwaukee Public Museum, where she wrote grants, assisted in strategic planning, designed educational exhibits, and attempted to stay sunburn and snake-bite free at dinosaur dig sites in Montana and natural history collecting expeditions in Costa Rica.
When she’s not working with the HTRS administrative team, Lori loves to hunt for antiques, read books, visit historic sites, and hang out with friends and family, including husband Randy, adult daughters Sarah and Amy, and Stella and Henry, her Shetland Sheepdogs. She wishes she could spend a day with Abraham Lincoln. She continues to be inspired by the talent and dedication of the physicians, investigators, and allied health professionals who make HTRS and WACBD such wonderful organizations.
